'reimagined'
jewellery making

eco-friendly & sustainable

Sat April 4th 2026
4-8pm
Crush Lane Boutique @15 Urquhart Lane

inspired by CL's signature
'grunge revival' jewellery collection

Join Kate (Funk Yeah) & Tarah (Crush Lane) for a fun evening of beginner friendly jewellery making and community connection!

Advocating the importance of sustainable consumption, this workshop celebrates old, damaged and unwanted jewellery by helping you create a new one of a kind jewellery item to wear and cherish.

Kate and Tarah will explain the step by step, and be available to guide you with your design, and assist with the assemblage of your chosen jewellery item- neckpiece, earrings, bracelet, whatever your heart desires!

*Workshops are for adults and mature teens

Be prepared

  • Have an idea about a theme that you may choose to incorporate for your design (some examples: the beach, travel, nautical, animals, and florals). Perhaps, it's just things you love.

  • Have an idea about what metal colour to incorporate in your design (white tone, yellow tone, or mixed metals). Have an idea about a colour or colour scheme you may want to incorporate.

  • Gather up any of your existing jewellery items you are no longer wearing, or that are broken (such as: missing stones or a single earring), or a sentimental piece you can't bear to get rid of but aren't loving aesthetically, as well as any sentimental found objects you may have (some examples: a special button, keys, or coins).

  • Call up your friends and family and ask them if they might have anything in their jewellery box they are willing to donate to you.

  • With your general design idea in mind, hit the thrift stores and collect charms that relate to your theme / colour story. *AVOID PURCHASING ANYTHING NEW

  • Bring your favourite drink and snack to keep your energy going.

  • Be aware that you will be using your hands quite a bit—we are happy to assist throughout the workshop.

  • If you are willing, and the items you brought in won't make it into your design after all, you can SWAP with others.
